First Linocut Printing Workshop!

The LTC will host its first Linocut Printing Workshop on Sunday, April 28, from 2-6 p.m

Artist, teacher, maritimer, and printmaker James Tucker will be teaching a one color linocut printing workshop on Sunday, April 28, from 2-6 p.m.

This workshop provides an introduction to basic printmaking practice through the process of making a linocut. Participants will be guided through planning a print, transferring an image to a block, carving, and printing by hand. Your finished linocut could be used to create note cards, bookmarks, limited edition prints, etc. This workshop is open to beginners or anyone who would like to rediscover the printmaking process.

The cost for the class is $45 + $15 for materials.  Afternoon tea and snacks provided. Space is limited, so please let us know as soon as possible if you would like to come.

James Tucker, owner and letterpress printer for The Aesthetic Union has been a printmaker for over 10 years. Past presses he has worked at include Hatch Show Print, Austin Press and Hello Lucky. James also teaches printing and design classes at San Francisco Center for the Book and at his own space The Aesthetic Union.
